Murray Bridge TAFE

Description:

The design of this small landscape space for the Murray Bridge TAFE College is a very low budget and very low maintenance landscape solution for students, alike to gather before, between and after classes. In years to come the yarning circle made from local Kanmantoo boulders set in quarry sand will be shaded by gum trees and nestled amongst garden beds full of all Indigenous plants. The yarning circle provides opportunities to gather, yarn and to learn as do the Indigenous plants. The concentric circle pavement patterning was inspired by the iconic symbol of an Aboriginal meeting place - while the curved swathes of pavement create flow, movement and circulation through the space.
