Description:

The design of these two artworks were installed under an overpass to cover the abutment join between an existing bridge and a new bridge as part of the $380M Sturt Highway Duplication Project. The artwork narrative is about directions of travel and physical features as highways. If you travel south under the overpass you will travel across Kaurna Country. If you travel north under the overpass you will travel across Ngadjuri Country. The Kaurna artwork shows the junction of the three main rivers of the area and Kaurna people travelling along their banks. The Ngadjuri artwork shows Ngadjuri people travelling over hilly country. Today most people travel on bitumen roadways…
